What to Do in Downtown Holland This Summer

Holland, Michigan, is well-known for the Tulip Time Festival in May, where half a million people celebrate Holland’s Dutch heritage. But once summer time arrives, this Michigan beachtown is calling your name! Come and explore all that Holland has to offer and why it was named one of “America’s Prettiest Towns” by Forbes Magazine.

Art Night

Lemonjello’s is a favorite spot for locals. From May through August on the 1st and 3rd Wednesdays of each month from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm, the cafe hosts an art night. Feel free to bring your own supplies or use the ones they provide there and let your creativity come alive. 


Farmer’s Market 

Buy fresh produce, flowers, plants, baked goods, meats cheeses, spices and more from over 70 vendors and food trucks. Enjoy breakfast or lunch at the food court during your visit. The farmers market in Downtown Holland is year around every Saturday from May through December and Wednesdays from May through November.


Street Performances 

All summer long, street performers show up along the streets of Downtown Holland Thursday evenings to share their expertise and fun. Every Thursday, from June through August at 6:30 pm to 8:30pm, musicians, caricature artists, magicians and henna artists will entertain visitors strolling along 8th Street.


Food Trucks 

This summer, every Tuesday from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm the Midtown Center will be hosting amazing food trucks for the community to enjoy. Come join us Downtown Holland each Tuesday throughout the summer for some good food and sunshine!


Summer Concert Series

The Summer Concerts at Kollen Park are one of the most popular spots to be on Friday evenings in the summer in Holland. From 6:30 pm tp 8:30 pm, the park comes alive with music and dancing. Bring your lawn chairs, blankets and a picnic basket and enjoy the sweet sounds of summer.
