Hospitality Team Lead

The Hospitality Team Lead demonstrates a keen eye for details and is thorough when preparing the homes for our guests. The team leads works along side the team members, leading by example. Arriving each day with a positive attitude and is listening and understanding to others questions and concerns while upholding Upscale Lakeshore processes and standards during each turnover.

 

The team lead will also assist with property inventory levels. Gathering internal and guest supplies from the office, keeping track of items going into the homes, and communicating with management when purchases are needed. As well as keeping stock of valuables and breakable items at the properties.

What You’ll Do

  • Enforcing Upscale Lakeshore processes and quality standards
  • Supporting and leading the Hospitality Team during turnovers
  • Leading the team walkthrough to ensure the properties are guest ready and providing turnover feedback to the team
  • Utilizing the inventory system to keep track of valuable and breakable items at the properties
  • Cleaning, maintaining and preparing vacation homes to welcome guests
  • Creating spaces for guests to enjoy while ensuring the cleanliness of each vacation home meets company standards
  • Staging per the home requirements, replacing furniture and decor items to their dedicated spots, communicating with management if items are missing
  • Communicating the condition of the house, damaged items, and items that need attention
  • Stocking appropriate levels of guest amenities which include but not limited to bath soaps, dish tablets, garbage bags, basic cooking spices
  • Reviewing and taking inventory – communicating the stocked levels for cleaning supplies, linens, towels, and kitchen essentials
  • Following through on damaged items and lost and found process
  • Ability to prioritize cleaning items that need to be cleaned for guests enjoyment
  • Assisting in maintaining the same level of cleanliness to the outdoor items (communication is key with this responsibility is shared with property maintenance

The Skills You’ll Need

  • Two years of hospitality work experience
  • Knowledge and understanding of Microsoft Excel
  • Comfortable driving your own vehicle to and from the various job locations along the lakeshore from Grand Haven to South Haven
  • Ability to be present, on time and focused for each scheduled shift
  • Comfortable with enforcing policy and openness to learn and ask questions
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Professional, positive, servant minded attitude
  • Sharp eye for small details and
  • Ability to organize linens, kitchen items and more
  • Awareness of time management and working efficiently
  • Agile to be able to respond to different situations and circumstances as needed

Compensation

$18 – 22/hour
