Hospitality Intern

The Hospitality Intern will work onsite at various vacation rentals preparing the properties for each guest along with assisting with inventory management and concierge services while demonstrating a high level of cleanliness and attention to detail. Staging linens intentionally to give guests a sense of luxury staying at an Upscale Lakeshore Vacation Home. Working individually and in a team environment while utilizing time management skills to ensure standards can be met in limited time.

What You’ll Do

  • Creating spaces for guests to enjoy while ensuring the cleanliness of each vacation home meets company standards
  • Staging per the home requirements, replacing furniture and decor items to their dedicated spots, communicating with management if items are missing

  • Communicating the condition of the house, damaged items, and items that need attention

  • Stocking appropriate levels of guest amenities which include but not limited to bath soaps, dish tablets, garbage bags, basic cooking spices

  • Cleaning, maintaining and preparing vacation homes to welcome guests

  • Reviewing and taking inventory – communicating the stocked levels for cleaning supplies, linens, towels, and kitchen essentials

  • Adhering to the damaged items and lost and found process

  • Ability to prioritize cleaning items that need to be cleaned for guests enjoyment

  • Cycling laundry while working on-site: any laundry that cannot be completed can be taken off-site with managers approval

  • Assisting in maintaining the same level of cleanliness to the outdoor items (communication is key with this responsibility is shared with property maintenance)

  • Assisting with concierge services for the guest prior to their arrival – pre stocked fridges and welcome gift set ups 

  • As part of the Hospitality Team, you may be the selected “point person” for the day who willbe in charge of communicating with hospitality manager and sending over completed inventory and walk through checklist at the end of your shift

  • Ability to organize linens, kitchen items and more

  • Awareness of time management and working efficiently

  • Comfortable working on your own, but also able to work in teams

  • Ability to be present, on time and focused for each scheduled shift

  • Agile to be able respond to different situations and circumstances as needed

  • Comfortable driving your own vehicle to and from the various job locations along the lakeshore from Grand Haven to South Haven
  • Communicate with the team and management if you have any questions, concerns and/or suggestions as feedback is always welcomed!

Compensation

$17/hour 

Bonuses and incentive pay
