Tensions were high in colonial America as Great Britain increased control and legislation in the colonies. The Colonists were outraged and so started the American Revolution. Surprise! America won and The Declaration of Independence was adopted on July 4th, 1776, marking America’s independence. America’s birthday is celebrated with fireworks, barbecues, parades, red, white, and blue outfits, and tons of family time. Many families love to explore West Michigan and its beach towns as one of their favorite ways to celebrate Independence Day.
